My ride across the continent to Linux.Conf.Au 2005.
From Wednesday to Saturday of the week before the conference, I rode 3828km from Perth to Canberra, arriving at 10:30 on Saturday evening. On the last day I rode 1143km. Yes, my bum was sore, but I've recovered now. Thank you for asking.
Update: Sh*t, LCA has finished. I have to get home.

Campsite east of Norseman. The Eyre Highway can just be seen through the bush.

Madura Pass on the Eyre Highway.

View from the $19 accommodation at Nullarbor roadhouse. The place was actually much more comfortable than this makes it appear. Walk around the front and there's a clean motel and decent restaurant, staffed by very friendly people.

Lake Bonney in South Australia.

Murray River (and bridge) at Renmark, SA (I think).

The worst road sign I encountered. This is in Mildura. Is this a country road sign that tells me how to get to the next town, or is it a street sign? What would make me choose between going to Bendigo (400km from here) or driving up Fifteenth Street?

Hay Plain in New South Wales, flatter and more boring than the Nullarbor!
